Everybody messes up sometimes.
So maybe you forgot to bring some books back to the library on time and you got some fines on your account. We understand and that is why we have started a program so you can read your fines away.
How does it work?
For every minute you read or are read to and record on your log we will forgive one penny of your fines. Bring in your completed form to the circulation desk with your parent or guardian’s signature and your fine will be forgiven.
Who is eligible?
Anyone under 18 with a valid library card for the Indian River Area Library.
What fines are eligible?
Overdue fines are the only fines eligible for this program. Fines for damages or lost items cannot be erased as part of this program.
