The Friends of the Library group is organized to support the Indian River Area Library in its endeavors to provide quality service to patrons of all ages by promoting and publicizing the programs and resources of the library; assistance with special programming; and raising funds for materials, equipment, and library events.

Friends Meetings
The Friends meet on the second Tuesday of each month throughout the year at 11:00 am in the Meeting Room at the Indian River Area Library.
