Propose a Program

The Indian River Area Library offers a wide range of programs for all ages throughout the year. Programs may target a general audience or be tailored to an age-specific audience. Library programs promote services, literacy, the use of the collection and facility, and meet the educational, recreational, and lifelong learning needs of our patrons. Programs are intended to further the mission of the Library and are consistent with the Library’s core values and Strategic Plan. Library programs are open to the public and offered at no charge to library patrons.

Our Library staff determines whether programs meet our goals and the community’s interests. Programs must also fit in our budget, schedule, physical space, and comply with the Library’s policies. Please note that commercial advertising and direct solicitation are prohibited. Presentations may not include sales of any product or recommend a particular business or product.

Please review our Programming Policy prior to submission to ensure that your program proposal is within our guidelines. Please note: You will receive a response from us only if we can accommodate your program.

Program Schedule

Library programs are arranged on a seasonal basis, and a lot of lead time is required to plan a program. Please keep this schedule in mind as it may be several months before we are able to consider proposals for the next season’s programming. We will reach out to you if we are interested in working with you on your program.
